CROCHET BIKINI

Ciao a tutti,
Tutti i bordi li ho realizzati a punto gambero.
Il colore del bikini  è giallo/senape.

 Le  dimensioni del manichino sono:

giro seno 83 cm ;
fianchi 80 cm ;
coppa reggiseno: taglia terza

translated  in  English, Spanish, Portuguese..

Given the sea silk the "bisso" is a textile fiber of marine origin that is derived from a particular strand produced by a typical Mediterranean mollusk called "pinna nobilis", Nachar in Spanish, Jambonneau herisse in French, noble pen shell in English .
It is found mainly in the Mediterranean, lives up to 20 years, may be up to one meter length, it is up to 40 meters deep 'often next to the marina poseidonia.
Currently it is considered a protected species and its presence is a good indicator of the health of the sea.
Her strings are green / gold color-changing and it is almost impossible to process them industrially, but with almost vanished artisan techniques.
The origin of his work seems to have started in Mesopotamia 10,000 years ago along with the use of purple and along with it has spread throughout the Mediterranean (including Europe) and was considered the silk antiquity 'with which they were made the clothes for kings and nobles of the time.
Until the goal of 900 was processed in "taranto" area (Italy) and Sardinia .Today processing occurs only in some areas of Southern Sardinia (Italy) precisely in the island of “s. antioco” in the western Mediterranean where there is a "museum of bisso."
In the other states bordering the Mediterranean as France and Spain the tradition disappeared for centuries.
Legend has it that the first master of bisso in Sardinia was, Berenice of Cilicia, the Jewish nobleman who fell in love with the Roman emperor Titus (I c.), Would spend the rest of his life in exile on the island of Sant ' Antioco. Berenice island would bring with him the art of making the bisso, and would remain there until the end of his days, as witness a mysterious tomb that bears his name. Today this tradition is continued by "chiara vigo" considered the last master of this tradition.

It was first washed in fresh water, dried, and then dipped in lemon juice or urea cow to increase shine. After being carded (to spin 12 meters of fine linen takes about 3 years) and manually worked with a frame similar to those used in antiquity 'with the technique of plain stitch that produces tissue from precious value ... though they have been found crocheted garments !!

Today ,these artisan products are not sold but exposed in the only museum in the world of S. antioco - Sardegna- italy

ITALIANO:

--------------------------------------------------------

CUFFIA:
